There’s a whole big bunch of people here who feel that there’s really only two places to live in town. The first is, within walking distance of downtown, and the second place to live is “somewhere else.” A little harsh, but the truth is demonstrated by the recent market-wide pressure on Bozeman’s older neighborhoods and infill properties as well as the continued viability of our historic downtown. While Main Streets across the country are mostly petered out, ours just keeps adding horsepower (Mendenhall and Babcock are gathering steam, and even North 7th is starting to look like a place with a future). Newcomers to the area: start at Grand & Main or the Baxter and head east.
If you're looking for... a little more history and a little less commerce, Museum of the Rockies should keep you busy for an afternoon, easy.
