Located in a classic, red-brick storefront, Plonk’s interior decor is a zen mixture of old West and steel-fab-extraordinaire. With sidewalk seating and an alleyway patio where a wine-swilling purple graffiti monster oversees your evening, this is one of Bozeman's centerpiece bars. Although it takes its name from a cruddy beverage, Plonk’s wine list is anything but, and their cheese plates are worth the trip alone. Order their signature drink, the G.F.C. (for Good, er, Freaking Cocktail), a delicious concoction of house-infused ginger vodka, muddled basil, simple syrup, and lemon and lime juice, garnished with a slice of candied ginger.
If you're looking for... the high-end atmosphere emphasizing whiskey, just a few doors down is the new Copper.
Prices: Plonk's neither cheap nor prohibitively expensive; salads are around $12, but the bison skirt steak is currently listed at only $22.
